It's here! A Gnome Desktop theme save / restore solution.
Phrank's Theme Saver lets you save the following to a tar.bz2 archive, and restore it all with a simple script!
Saves: Icon, Mouse, GTK, Metacity, Sound themes - Splash and Background images - Panel Settings - Font Settings (But not font files)
You can send the archive to a friend, and they can theme their desktop with a few clicks! Works great for switching between themes as well.
Just download the file, extract it, and choose to Run 'PhranksThemeSaver'
To restore the theme setup on any Gnome computer, Just right click the saved *.tar.bz2 file, extract it, and run the Install_Theme.sh script!

I used it for Seriously
I used it for Seriously Desktop for Linux (my spinoff of my stepuncles Seriously Desktop) - and I just used it. It works. I have this theme, that is blue on the GTK, and I made it for a simple, slick, Human-based theme. It uses Murrine, which is the engine Human theme uses.

You are a genious Phrank. i have been your script of windows XP for a long time. i have been playing with the main script for long and i did minor changes here and there to fine tune it.
phrank i have written this to admit a mistake i have done.
i dunno whether you will like it or not but i have used the script to create many more such themes for the ubuntu community.
